The
2008 Toyota Camry offers Toyota's Vehicle Skid Control (VSC)
is an electronic system designed to help the driver maintain vehicle
control under adverse conditions. It is not a substitute for safe
driving practices. Factors including speed, road conditions and
driver steering input can all affect whether VSC will be effective
in preventing a loss of control. Also Toyota Camry's Brake Assist
is designed to help the driver take full advantage of the benefits
of ABS. Toyota Camry ABS is not a substitute for safe driving
practices. Braking effectiveness also depends on proper brake
system maintenance and tire and road conditions.
The new 2008 Toyota Camry comes with a new 5-speed manual overdrive
transmission which is standard. Both models come with Toyota Camry
MacPherson strut front suspension with gas-filled shock absorbers
and stabilizer bar; dual-link independent MacPherson strut rear
suspension with gas-filled shock absorbers and stabilizer bar.
The
Insurance Institute for Highway Safety just named the Camry "A
