2011 2012 Jaguar XK comes in four different models. Models include XK8 Coupe,
XK8 Convertible, XKR Coupe and the XKR Convertible. Engine power
and type differ between these models too.
The
first new Jaguar we looked at was the new XK8 Coupe with Dynamic
Stability Control, Brake Assist, 6-Speed ZF Automatic Transmission,
294 BHP 4.2L Engine, Four Wheel Disc Brakes with ABS System Plus,
Fully independent front and rear suspension, Rear Wheel Drive
with Traction Control and Sport tuned front and rear suspension.
The new 2011 2012 XK8 promises a smooth ride with power. We
found it to be extremly quitet and responsive.
The other
engine type on the 2011 2012 Jaguar XK series is the XKR with
Dynamic Stability Control, Brake Assist, Brembo Brakes, 6-Speed
ZF Automatic Transmission, 390 BHP 4.2L Engine, Aluminum alloy
cylinder head/block with Twin DOHC, 32-valve, Computer Active
Technology Suspension (CATS) with adaptive telescopic dampers,
Four Wheel Disc Brakes with ABS System Plus, Fully independent
front and rear suspension, Rear Wheel Drive with Traction Control
and Sport tuned front and rear suspensione. Under normal conditions
we didn't see too much difference between the two engines, but
when power was called on the XKR delivered. With this kind of
horsepower you'll find it easy to pass just about anyone on the
road.
Some
of the safety features you will find on the new 2011 2012 Jaguar XK series is Adaptive Restraint Technology System, Anti-theft
engine immobilizer, Central locking doors, trunk and fuel filler
door, Child safety belt locking, Child seat tether anchorages,
Driver and front passenger safety belt pre-tensioners, Driver
and passenger airbags, Front seat side airbags, ISOFIX in Rear
Seats, Remote driver-only unlock/automatic drive away locking
feature and the new Jaguar vehicle security system with remote
entry and audible verification feature.
On
the interior and exterior of the 2011 2012 Jaguar XK you will
find features like, Alpine Audio System with 320-watts & 6-disc
CD Changer in Trunk, Automatic on off headlamps, Headlamp Wash,
Heated Seats, Homelink compatible garage door opener, Memory door
mirrors, driver seat and steering column with auto tilt-away feature,
Multi-adjustable front seats with power/lumbar support, Rain Sensing
Wipers and Reverse Park Control. These features found on the XK
add to many other features that come standard with the new Jaguar
models.
