This
year there are four models of 2009 Ford Excursion SUV's,
Excursion XLT, Excursion XLT Premium, Excursion Eddie Bauer and
Excursion Limited. All come with a 5.4L SEFI Triton V-8 engine
(standard on all vehicles except Eddie Bauer 4x4 and Limited 4x4
edtion). The other available engines are the 6.8L Triton V-10
engine (standard on Eddie Bauer 4x4 and Limited 4x4), 6.0L turbo
diesel engine with TorqShift 5-speed automatic transmission and
the 7.3L Power Stroke® Diesel V-8 with electronic 4-speed
automatic overdrive transmission. The optional 7.3L Power Stroke®
diesel V8 engine produces 250 horsepower at 2600 rpm and 525 lb.-ft.
torque at 1600 rpm. All models come with and electronic 4-speed
auto O/D transmission.
Some new 2009 Ford Excursion SUV's come with a second
row 60/40 split bench with dual recliners and cupholders in the
center armrest comes standard and 3rd-row bench carries three
in comfort; it can be folded or removed for more cargo space.
The XLT and Excursion XLT Premium come with front and rear manual
air conditioning with rear auxiliary controls. Electronic automatic
temperature control is standard on Eddie Bauer and Limited.
The new 2009 Ford Excursion comes in nine available colors
which include; Aspen Green, Black, Estate Green, Mineral Grey,
Medium Wedgewood Blue, Oxford White, Redfire, Silver Birch and
True Blue (not available on the Excursion Limited). All models
come with clearcoat paint.
All
new Ford Excursions come with a rear liftglass and split swing
out tailgate to create one huge opening with no pillar that will
block your view, and a roof rack. Two front tow hooks are standard
on all Excursion models.

(2009 Ford Excursion) comes with Second Generation driver
and right front passenger airbags, LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers
for Children), Childproof side door locks and Color-keyed adjustable
height 1st & 2nd row outboard shoulder belts.
