With the
impressive performance of a V8 Hemi, Dodge makes its full-size
car for 2010 the new Magnum wagon. The same platform as the Chrysler
300 sedan, the new Magnum sports rear-wheel drive and a four or
a five-speed automatic transmission. Dodge replaces its Intrepid
sedan with this new station wagon which has an increased access
rear liftgate, a distinctive hot rod style and comes in three
trim levels.
The top end Magnum RT comes with a 340-hp 5.7-liter V8 Hemi with Chrysler's Multi-Displacement System which deactivates four of the eight cylinders to conserve fuel while idling or cruising. Conversely, it can motor you from zero to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds. It uses a five-speed automatic transmission with AutoStick to develop 390 pound-feet or torque, with a 3800 pound towing capacity. The Magnum RT rounds out it exceptional features with a Boston Acoustics six-speaker sound system, a 288-watt digital amplifier, leather interior, 18-inch polished aluminum wheels, and dual exhausts.
A 3.5-liter single-overhead-cam V6 engine powers the Magnum SXT and makes 250 horsepower with 250 pound-feet of torque. The 2010 Magnum SXT runs a four-speed automatic and will also offer all-wheel drive. Adding to the Magnum performance picture is the inclusion of all-speed traction control, ABS with brake assist, and electronic stability. On the cosmetic and ergonomic sides, the new 205 Dodge Magnum sports an eight-way power driver's seat, aluminum wheels, tinted glass, and cargo cover.
The Magnum SE combines a nice standard equipment package with a 2.7-liter aluminum V6 for an all around good value. Along with its four-speed automatic transmission, other standard equipment includes a AM/FM/CD sound system, power windows and locks with remote entry, air conditioning, a 60/40 split rear seat with center armrest, solar control window glass, rack-and-pinion steering, tilt-telescoping steering column, 17-inch wheels and disc brakes.
Optional equipment abounds on the 2010 Dodge Magnum including an in-dash CD changer, Sirius satellite radio, and a UConnect hands-free communication system that uses Bluetooth technology. More amenities that are optional include self-sealing tires, side curtain airbags, power adjustable pedals, a power sunroof and heated front seats.
