The new 2008 Chevrolet Blazer delivers a Vortec 4300 V6 engine, 190
horsepower, a five-speed manual transmission (standard on 2-Door
models). A four-speed automatic transmission is standard on all
4 door models and available on the 2 door models. An electronically
controlled four-speed automatic overdrive transmission is standard
on 4-Door and optional on 2-Door models. A five-speed manual overdrive
transmission is standard on 2-Door models. To help cut down on
maintance, the new Chevy Blazer's engine has platinum tip spark
plugs (100,000 miles before spark plugs need to be replaced).
The recommended engine coolant change is 150,000 miles or 5 years.
But, as always maintenance depends highly on different uses and
driving conditions.
The 2008 Chevrolet Blazer Z87 has a specially designed sport suspension
package and rocker cladding and wheel flares. To make the Chevy
Blazer different there is an available Heat Appearance Decal /
Paint Package or the available Accent and Stripe Appearance Packages.
Available
on all 04 and 2008 Chevrolet Blazer models 2-door 4x4 is the Autotrac
4x4 system when AUTO 4wd is engaged this system will automatically
transfers power between front and rear wheels when slippage is
detected. The standard InstaTrac 4x4 electric transfer case system
on 4x4 models shift on the fly from 2WD to 4WD high by a a button
located on the dashboard.
2008 and
03 Chevrolet Blazer's offer an Underbody Shield Package which
supplies skid plates for the front differential and transfer case
and fuel tank and steering linkage shields.
On all Chevy
Blazer's air conditioning is standard, 4-Door Chevrolet LS models
come standard with a custom cloth bench, front seat w/head restraints,
dual reclining seats, dual cup holders and an armrest with center
storage container. When combined with the standard split-folding
rear seat the Chevrolet Blazer LS 4-Door seats 6 passengers and
has deluxe cloth highback front reclining bucket seats and includes
a floor-mounted convenience console with dual cup holders. The
back seats can seat 3 in 4 door models, and 2 in 2-door models.
In the Back of the the new 2008 Chevy Blazer the back
seats fold down to give you more cargo space when needed. One
portion of the seat in the back can be folded down for storage
while leaving the other back seat up for passenger space, it is
a 60/40 split.
