For 2010 Cadillac has two Seville models; a
300-hp 4.6-liter Northstar engine Seville STS and a 275 hp 305
ft-lbs torque in the Cadillac Seville SLS. The automatic transmission
in 2010 Seville STS will shift automatically and adapt to
the way you drive.
2010 and 04 Cadillac Seville STS offers luxury and the handling of
a sport sedan. The new Seville's are equipped with Cadillac' Magnetic
Ride Control (MRC) claiming to be the world's quickest reacting
suspension system (standard on the Seville STS), providing a wide
range of damping force control and responsiveness. This new technology
enables continuous real time damping control and will increase
control of vehicle motions for a flatter ride and better handling.
This new enhancement to the Cadillac Seville enhances wheel control
for a more secure ride by controlling load transfer characteristics
improved roll control and steering during unexpected high-speed
maneuvers.
The new 2010 and 03 Cadillac Seville is equipped with Cadillac's Performance
Algorithm Shifting or PAS, this uses vehicle sensors, including
the lateral acceleration sensor to evaluate your driving actions
and then evaluates reprograms the transmission to respond much
like a manual gearbox. During a maneuver such as "hard turn"
the transmission will hold its gear to prevent midcorner shifts
that can upset the balancing of the vehicle. When braking the
Seville through a corner the transmission will change down for
better cornering speeds and maintain the gear selection through
acceleration out of the turn.
The
2010 Cadillac Seville STS and SLS have an
available onboard DVD-based Navigation system GPS (global positioning
satellite) with bright and clear graphics which are conveniently
displayed on the instrument panel. Controls for the Seville's
sound system are integrated into a 6.5-inch diagonal touch screen.
The sound system is a premium BoseŽ 6 disc CD changer. I found
the touch screen to be very user-friendly and the screen features
a lightgray background in daylight that automatically switches
to a dark black background at night. There are 5 dedicated controls
along the left side to control the navigation system and 4 switches
to the right to operate the sound system. The entertainment system
will allow you to view a DVD Video but only when you are parked.
